August 2020 Penn LPS Coding Boot Camp in collaboration with edX

Awarded to learners who have met all requirements for the Penn LPS Coding Boot Camp Program.

Earners of this certifcate demonstrate a fundamental working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, APIs, Git, Progressive Web Applications, SQL, servers, and the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js). Earners have displayed their ability to work with diverse teams on demanding timelines to build full functional web applications from start to finish. They have exhibited the skills necessary to learn new technologies and resolve issues independently. This program consists of 216 contact hours.

Learning Goals:

• Explain the process of serving a web page and how the browser renders code

• Build front-end websites from scratch as well as with ready-made frameworks.

• Create full-stack single-page web applications with RESTful routes and CRUD operations.

• Use SQL and NoSQL databases to convert static websites into dynamic websites that persist data.

• Develop apps while applying source control, issue tracking, and functional feedback.

• Collaborate through the entire development cycle of complex projects.
